SAN ANTONIO — Testimony in the capital murder trial of a man accused in the killing of a Bexar County Sheriff's sergeant was delayed Wednesday morning because of an ill juror.

State District Judge Mary Roman asked parties to be back in the 175th courtroom at 12:30 p.m., when testimony is expected to resume.

Mark Anthony Gonzales pleaded not guilty to the 2011 ambush-style killing of Sgt. Kenneth Vann as his trial began yesterday.

The ill juror indicated to the judge he would be able to continue sitting on the panel.
