SAN ANTONIO — Adolph Ramos Suarez pleaded not guilty Tuesday as his attempted murder trial began in the 379th state District Court.

Suarez, 60, turned himself into police in May 2012 following an alleged road rage incident in which he shot a neighbor in the head.

Jacques Gonzales, 44, told police he had yelled at Suarez to slow down just prior to the shooting. Gonzales was struck in the head.

Witnesses told police Suarez walked over to Gonzales as he lay in the street and shot him two more times.

Neighbors told police Suarez had a reputation of being abrasive and had pulled a gun on others previously.

Suarez also pleaded not guilty to the lesser offenses including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
