Southwest Airlines travelers are in for a list of upgrades valued at $2 billion that are set to take flight this summer. The Texas-based airline known for its low-frills approach to flying revealed a new plan on Wednesday, May 11 that's packed with new features, from new connectivity options to a new bar menu, to take the customer experience to new levels.
The plan includes faster WiFI, USB charging ports for each seat, larger overhead bins, a new ticket category, and more entertainment and refreshments. The announcement comes on the heels of Southwest earning the 2022 J.D. Power Award for Highest Customer Satisfaction among economy airliners in the U.S.
