Starting Tuesday, May 17, Southwest Airlines customers will notice a new option when booking flights. The Dallas-based airliner launched Wanna Getaway Plus, a new fare with transferrable flight credits and more flexibility.
It's the fourth fare option offered by Southwest. Wanna Getaway Plus joins Wanna Getaway, Anytime, and Business Select. Southwest says the newcomer "amplifies" the benefits of current fares. With the new option, travelers are able to receive flight credit if a trip is canceled, transfer flight credits, same-day confirmed change, same-day standby list, and all the benefits of the standard Wanna Getaway tier, like two free bags and free changes and cancelations.
